We started our day with a ride to L’Anse aux Meadows. A UNESCO World Heritage site. Its at th tip of the Great Norther Peninsula. The remains of an 11th century Viking settlemant are present are reconstuctions of the settlement. We met a rider from Germany. Martin quit his job as a mechanical engineer and straped on a can of Ravioli to his pannier and headed for Canada. Later we rode thru St Barbe area and Eddies Cove to Gros Morne National Park. We camped there the night and made slow progress to St johns. We got as far a Gander and checked out some of the avaition museum. We were not in best of spirtits this day being beaten up by the weather and the road. Staying at the hotel we found did not raise my spirts at all. Tom was restored by soaking in the tub until he resembled a prune and flooding the bath. Somehow he missed the lesson on displacing water when getting into a full tub. We are clear of that now and at Toms moms place in Victoria for some rest before getting on the ferry and off this rock.
