  1. Beats me where Beatty is. Your photo looks like someone built a house, then a grain elevator at the back as an extension.
    With regards to grain elevators fading away, when Karen-Anne and I visited the sand-dunes at Spectre, Saskatchewan, the museum curators said that communities arose around grain elevators that were some 20 km apart to handle the harvest. When the railroad lines were abandoned, the elevators ceased to function and small communities faded away.
