Moulage is the art of applying realistic, mock injuries for the purpose of training emergency response teams, medical, and military personnel. Moulage is a 16th-century art form with 21st-century applications. It is often used in emergency response training and exercises to simulate the kinds of injuries first responders are most likely to see after events like natural disasters, explosions, and hazardous materials incidents. Moulage adds layers of complexity and realism to exercises. Simulated injuries such as lacerations, burns, and bruises helps CAF create realistic, immersive disaster training scenarios for combat medics.” Here we have the two Cheryl’s with the Moulage artists between them ready for a training scenario and wisked off by Bell CH-146 Griffon helicopter.

The woodland camo really stands out against the backdrop of winter. These two soldiers from the US Army 22nd Chemical Battalion seem impervious to the weather and take on a body builders pose to emphasize their indifference to the environment.
Family events like anniversaries or birthdays are fleeting moments that pass all too quickly. Get them together for a group picture before they all go their own ways. Yes, it’s like herding cats but well worth the effort.
One month ago I posted a portrait of my long lost friend. Vanished without a trace, but I’m happy to report that he has surfaced. He has a story to tell and if he’d like to,he can tell it here. The above image is decades old, but we were friends much earlier than when this image was shot. In fact we go back to the 1970’s at Runnymede Public School. Much has changed in the world since I took this pic but seemingly Iran still Sucks.
Group portraits can be a challenge by trying to get all your ducks in a row or they can be a lot of fun too. As in this image. After a day of taking part in an intense exercise everybody was all smiles and looking forward to a cold one at edex.
Reflections off of glass are another way to photograph a portrait. This young lady got onto the King Street car in Toronto. No doubt she was wondering what I found so interesting as to photograph outside of my window. But the true subject was her reflection mirrored on the window of the King car.
